Tips for Twitter Campaign Hashtags


I have had the wonderful opportunity this year to work for our student-run public relations firm Allen Hall Public Relations at the University of Oregon. In addition to the client work our teams do each week, we also have a firm meeting to develop our skills as PR practitioners.

Last week our firm’s professional development director, Whitney Reed, led a workshop about the use of hashtags in Twitter campaigns. Many companies are now using this social platform to engage their audience and create conversation. Using hashtags in your posts can be a great way to increase the reach of your content and improve your SEO. Apps I Can’t Live Without


After the Apple announcements yesterday, I started thinking about how much I use my iPhone. If you have a smartphone, you probably use it for much more than just phone calls and texting. Apps are now a huge part of our daily lives and help us simplify the many tasks we have to complete. I have quite a large number of apps on my iPhone, but there is only a handful that I can’t see myself living without.
